Where is Guam? Guam is an island in the western Pacific Ocean and is the largest and southernmost of the Mariana Islands. This small island in the North Pacific Ocean is located roughly three-quarters of the way between Hawaii and the Philippines.
The highest point in Guam is Mount Lamlam, which is 1,332 feet (406 m). The island of Guam is 30 miles (48 km) long and 4 mi (6 km) to 12 mi (19 km) wide. The island experiences occasional earthquakes due to it being on the western edge of the Pacific Plate and near the Philippine Plate.
