Ovacik is a small village in the Fethiye district, Muğla Province of Turkey adjoining the holiday resort of Hisarönü consisting mainly of small hotels, and private villas.
In Ovacık you will find a number of small restaurants and bars catering for the people who prefer a quiter evening out than the hustle and bustle of Hisarönü.
The village is set on a small plateau at the foot of Babadağ, a favourite spot for paragliders from all over Europe.
Ölüdeniz, the fabulous blue lagoon and Belcekız beach are all within ten minutes reach. This area makes up the Ölüdeniz municipality of Fethiye a city and district of Muğla Province in the Aegean region of Turkey with 45,000 inhabitants.
Fethiye near Ovacik is a tourist town with an international atmosphere. Fethiye has an excellent marina and good night life and serves as a superb base for touring the inland country-side, and is probably the only city in the world where you'll find sarcophagus in the streets.
