About Belize
Belize, a quiet, peaceful democratic country of approximately 250,000 people, is located in Central America on the Caribbean Sea, and bordered by Mexico and Guatemala. The climate is tropical with a rainy season from May to November and a dry season from February to May. English is the official language, while Spanish, Mayan, Garifuna and Creole are also spoken here.
The country has a relaxed way of life, which is simultaneously comforting and jarring for those used to the typical fast-paced environments of the U.S. We would strongly recommend visiting the country and experiencing Caribbean life before purchasing here. You will know if you love this place. And if you love this place, we believe you’ll want to purchase land at Cyan Belize.
Unlike other Central American countries, real estate in Belize is "free hold title," meaning you actually own the land you purchase. However, real estate agents are not licensed — anyone can call themselves a real estate agent. We recommend that you retain an attorney in Belize prior to purchasing any real estate.
Important to note that Cyan Belize is divided into 15 large estates which cannot be re-subdivided. The community was created for the exclusive use of people who care deeply about not harming the environment alongside the waters of the most important breeding site left to the manatees. The land will be restricted via a gate built across the only road to traverse the isthmus of Cyan Belize.

Philosophy
Far away from the manicured lawns and multi-million dollar clubhouses of resort-style real estate is a place that needs none of those trappings to help you feel closer to nature or to yourself. Cyan Belize. Here, 15 neighbours will purchase homesites in this gated community and create eco-friendly homes that will be more than houses. They will be sanctuaries. You’ll live near all the treasures Belize has to offer, including world-renown scuba diving, Mayan ruins, manatee preserves and a diverse cultural tapestry. It’s all part of a more than laid-back lifestyle with a different set of priorities. In this place, people who are friendly, peace-loving and concerned about the environment and the well-being of others will find a home.
This project, more than just a place to live and commune with nature, is also focused on saving the Antillean Manatee, of which less than 1000 remain. To do this, Cyan Belize is divided into 15 large estates which cannot be re-subdivided. The community was created for the exclusive use of people who care deeply about not harming the environment alongside the waters of the most important breeding site left to the manatees. The land will be restricted via a gate built across the only road to traverse the isthmus of Cyan Belize.
Cyan Belize is located 64 miles south of Belize City. The site itself is on the edge of a Manatee Preserve, about 4 miles from the Caribbean coast by boat using Manatee Bar River. It is 20 miles from Cyan Belize to the barrier reef, the second largest of its kind in the world. There are two other water channels to Belize City, one up the coast and one via an inland waterway. The driving time from Cyan Belize to the Belize International Airport is 1 hour 20 minutes.
